How to Create a New Course Category
Please Note:
Before creating a course category, please ensure that a similar category does not already exist within your organisation. You can check this by following the steps below, starting from step 12 onwards: #12-Now-you-need-to-edit-the-pass-rate--distinction-rate--expiry-per-wrEpH
1. Start by opening the Pink Settings Icon to access administrative options.

2. Select 'Content Designer'.

3. Click on 'Categories'.

4. Click '+ New' to begin creating a new course category.

5. Enter the title you would like to use here.

6. (Pro Tip: Check the system to ensure you do not already have something similar)

7. Add a concise short title, max 10 character, to make navigation and reporting even easier.

8. This is what all users will see on reports such as the Matrix.

9. Ensure you select all three options available.

10. Mark as Published to make your new category instantly available to learners.

11. Click 'Create' to save and launch your new course category.

12. Now you need to edit the pass rate / distinction rate / expiry period. Click into 'Homes' (this wording may differ but the icon will be the same).

13. The click your company name.

14. Now go into 'Edit'.

15. Click into 'Courses'.

16. Scroll down to find the course you just created.

17. Change the 'Pass Rate'.

18. Make sure you scroll back to the top and click 'Save'. Now you can allocate the course to roles, use it on bookings, create historical training records, or link it to a content you have built in the 'Content Designer'.
