The New Starter Period

Your organisation may use an alternate term to Home. In this help article, a "Home" may refer to a: Branch, Franchise, Location, Package, Service, etc...

Creating new users and accessing the reports areas of the LMS is normally restricted to Admins, Managers and above.

Editing a home's details will normally be restricted to Managers or Head Office staff and above.

When a new learner account is created, their profile will automatically be marked as a "New Starter" for the duration of your organisations new starter period. New Starters are automatically excluded from some reports and the overall compliance ratings for their home and the whole organisation.

How to edit the length of the new starter period.

If you're a manager or head office staff, you may want to edit the length of the new starter period for your organisation, or for an individual home.

To do this, first locate the home you wish to edit. You can do this using the Search Homes page.

Open the entity page and click the edit button in the top right.


Look for the New Starter Period (Days) field on the details tab of the edit area.


Set this value to your desired New Starter Period and click Update to confirm your changes.


New Starters on the Compliance Report and Management Area

By default, new starters can be filtered out of the Compliance report and the Management area.
